Sound Demo

Here is maybe 1 % of what the mpressor can do for you - have fun with it! Sick of mp3? The complete demo package is also available in uncompressed 16 bit/44 kHz wave format. Download (125 MB)

01. Big Drums

Acoustic drums with punchy attacks and beautiful ambience with 9 dB of gain reduction.

02. Beat Box

Analog electro drums with fast release time and use of the Niveau Filters to reduce low end.

03. Distorted Drums

LoFi drums with the fastest attack time and very high gain reduction values. Niveau Filter as low pass at 1 kHz. Starting with linear release, then with activated Anti Log function.

04. Breathing Chords

Heavily pumping and breathing synth chords with beautiful attacks while using Anti Log and the Gain Reduction Limiter as well as the Niveau Filter as low pass.

05. Compressed Reverb

Only the reverb is compressed and filtered, with the dry signal as a trigger. Starting with linear release, then changed to Anti Log.

06. Dance Demo

At first the 16th bass is triggered by the bass drum to let it groove, then the pad is chopped by varying release times.

07. Reverse Chords

With Auto Fast, Anti Log and a ratio of 1:-1 these chords almost sound like played backwards.

08. Rolling Delays

Drum beat with delay. Processing results in the delays getting louder to the end and in a strong accentuation of the attacks.

09. Smashed Drums

Operation brickwall limiter: fast attack times with Auto Fast, release time of 50 ms and ratio of 1:10.

10. One Snare

The mpressor in a feedback loop with delay and modulation filter, triggered by a snare drum. Short delay time with variation, variations of the Niveau Filter, spiced up by further delays and reverb.

11. Filter Loop

Dull loop made firm with the mpressor – with release in Anti Log mode and the Niveau Filter as high pass.

12. Analog Abyss

The mpressor in a feedback loop with a delay set to a very short delay time. Variations of the Niveau Filter, then further delays and reverb.

13. Active Switch

A further feedback loop with delay. The sound is only generated by pressing the Active switch and varying the Niveau Filters.

14. Drum Functions

Heavily pumping drums with Auto Fast, Anti Log and Gain Reduction Limiter. Then with activated Niveau Filters, than switching off the GR Limiter and finally deactivating Anti Log.

15. Percussive Organ

Using the Gain Reduction Limiter at 6 dB makes this organ more percussive without sounding typically compressed. Then the limiter is switched off.

16. Piano FX

Here, only the effect signal is compressed, with the dry signal as the trigger for the sidechain.

17. Rhodes Reverse

Velocity turned upside down: loud keystrokes become quieter – made possible by a very high ratio of 1:-4.

18. Snare Delay

Another feedback loop with delay generated beautiful ambience noise.

19. Berlin Drums

Electro drums send through a delay and then the mpressor. Sidechain is fed by the dry signal. Long attack time, fast release time, very high ratio, Niveau Filter as low pass.

20. Pumping Mix

Complete Mix with high ratio, Anti Log mode and Gain Reduction Limiter at 15 dB. Pump!
