No matter if used on single, group or sum signals, the results are always positive and versatile. Because of the delivered quality, the price results in a very good value for money ratio. And the xpressor does not have to fear the competition of much more expensive units at all."

Georg Berger: "The rack version of the elysia's xpressor is a high-flying dynamics processor. Its construction and build quality are absolutely breathtaking. Looking at the qualities of the xpressor, elysia could have sold it for twice the price easily – and because they didn't, the value for money rating must be estimated as phenomenal."

I honestly can't see a situation where an engineer, from a beginner to pro, would NOT benefit from having an xpressor in the rack, it does exactly what it says on the tin and much much more... A lot of times compressors are more or less one or two trick ponies and this one seems to be a full-blown horse circus! It's like a transient-shaping-lava-lamp, I just get mesmerized playing loops through it and thinking I'm the shit, haha!!! It's one of the most versatile and creative yet easy to understand pieces of gear I've ever seen or heard...

The xpressor is my go-to bass comp. I just used it on an electric bass track where notes were jumping out all over the place. I was able to crush it with up to 15 or so dB of reduction. There was plenty enough gain to bring it up, and even being crushed like that, it was punchy as hell! Slap on the Warm Mode and it just adds this fantastic grit and body to the bass!

Professional Audio Editor's Choice 2011The rack version of the elysia's xpressor is a high-flying dynamics processor which is great for mastering, sound design and processing single tracks. The spectrum of its options is simply amazing and real-world proof at the same time. But this dynamics chameleon does not only stand out of the crowd because of its special features. Its construction and build quality are absolutely breathtaking. Looking at the qualities of the xpressor, elysia could have sold it for twice the price easily – and because they didn't, the value for money rating must be estimated as phenomenal.

Just sending some Transistor Rhythm drum patterns through this baby.... It's staying. It's a proper mini-alpha, extremely flexible. From subtle bring-up-the-ambience to punch reinforcement to total slammin' –  works exactly as advertised, even on material that is already 'tweaked to bruise' ;-) Actually, I may need to order a second one for my newly opened second control room.
- Denis Goekdag

The xpressor is the undisputed *king* of fast compressors. If you want it will catch everything, on the other hand, you are allowed to use a slower attack (equal more punch among other good things) and still it'll catch the snare or that peak on the vocals or whatever spike the material contains. As soon as you play with it you're hooked. I might sound like a fanboy here but even having all the usual suspects in the racks I can tell the xpressor is really that good.

The xpressor convinces in every aspect. It combines extreme flexibility with premium sound qualities. No matter if used on single, group or sum signals, the results are always positive and versatile. The set of features is extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. Because of the delivered quality, the price is absolutely ok and results in a very good value for money ratio. And the xpressor does not have to fear the competition of much more expensive units at all.

This is just to let you know that I did a mastering job with the xpressor this week-end and I was surprised. It worked really well! For a $1.500 compressor I have to say that I can put this product in my mastering chain. Yessss, this xpressor is that good! I mean, there is a lots of headroom, sublime attack and release reaction... wonderful parallel option..., Warm, SC filter, etc. All the basic options that we need for mastering are there... and they are impressive. A happy mastering engineer.
