Premiere in Frankfurt/Main
Finally! At the end of quite some busy months we could present the alpha compressor at the Musikmesse trade show in Frankfurt/Main from March 29th to April 1st 2006. For the first time, we could show the 'real' product - so of course we were very curious about the feedback of the visitors...
Also in hall 5.1: Carsten Schippmann with his new filter "ebbe und flut" (low and high tide). What can one say: watching and hearing this incredible unit is a pleasure of its own, as it is able to transform an easy drum beat and a sawtooth waveform into complete tracks. We would like thank Penko from Schneiders Büro for providing the photo.
This is Dirk Brauner visiting our booth. Dirk does not need any further introduction, as his outstanding microphones speak for themselves. Being a friend of sophisticated technical and mechanical solutions he was visibly pleased by the alpha compressor and he actually took a whole series of photos for his trade show album.
And this is Frank Weber, sort of elysia's handy universal genius for special tasks. Frank was of invaluable support with the construction and technical realization of the complex housing for the alpha compressor. He knows every detail inside out, and - as a 'little side project' - he has also designed our furniture for the trade shows...
Another well-known face in hall 5.1 - Jürgen Michaelis from Jomox. The photo shows him smiling happily together with Anthony Rother. And the pleasure was on Jürgen's side indeed, as with the XBASE999 he could present the successor of his almost legendary groove machine this year. First impression: rocks!
Well, this is our trade show bonsai. Green as it is, it brings the necessary natural touch into our strictly technical world. Fortunately we didn't stick any logo to it - otherwise it would certainly have been misinterpreted as an unhandy, but maybe eatable giveaway. But no, we were able to take it home safely: See you again next year.
"George is coming". And yes, he was. We very much enjoyed the visit of George Petersen from Mix Magazine. He was very fond of the alpha compressor and its potentials. As a pleasing result, he presumably stayed longer than his well-filled Musikmesse date book originally allowed...
At the end of a successful presentation the well-earned closing time beer tastes twice as good as usual! Ok, those plastic tumblers are certainly not high end and therefore a little bit out of place here... By the way, that thing in the background is not the next version of the Apollo carrier rocket, but the Frankfurt trade show tower. Aha.
